CONCERT INFORMATION

Participating in dance concerts offers our students a unique and enriching experience beyond the dance studio.

Taking the stage in a concert provides students with a platform to showcase their talents, building confidence and a sense of accomplishment. It allows them to apply the skills they've learned in class to a real-world performance, and fosters teamwork as students collaborate with peers to create a cohesive and engaging performance. The exposure to a live audience helps students develop stage presence and overcome stage fright, nurturing their ability to express themselves confidently. And concerts are a great way for family, friends and our Steps community to celebrate our students achievements.

Steps invites all students, no matter their age or ability, to be part of a concert performance at the end each year. Our supportive dance family will make sure that even the most nervous dancers feel confident to get on stage and perform if they would like to.

Steps dance concerts are held at Gisborne Secondary Collage and run over a weekend in early December with senior students having the option to perform in multiple concerts.

All costumes are provided (fees apply), no sewing or sourcing of costumes required.
